"Home Staging" refers to arranging or "staging" a property in a way that showcases the home in the best possible way and thus helps the owner sell fast and for top dollar. While this idea is not new it is only recently that it has become popular as people turn to an ever-growing group of professionals for help. The home staging industry has expanded by leaps and bounds over the past few years and is now even featured on television shows like ""Buy Me" and "Curb Appeal" on the Home and Garden Television (HGTV). Professional home stagers specialize in the art of preparing a home for resale. They work with the "flow" of a home by eliminating clutter, editing and arranging furniture, and even assist in arranging of renovations, updates and landscaping. As unfair as it might be to a homeowner, after only 15 seconds most buyers have already developed a perception of their property. A home stager's job is to ensure that those first impressions are the best they can be. Finding a Professional You would find and select a professional home stager much like you would find any other professional service. While the phone book and internet inquiries are useful it is always best to ask around and get referrals. Realtors often have lists of local staging companies and may even have had recent experience with them.
